Awards given to her include Prix Ars Electronica distinction 2003 in Interactive Arts and Transmediale Berlin second price 2004. Residencies as the Swiss Artists in Lab at the Artifical Intelligence Lab Zurich 2005 or V2 Lab Residency, Rotterdam 2003.
Her art pieces embrace media activism, hybrid toys and cultures of ubiquitous games and play. Metamorphic performance works, installations, artefacts of electronic circuitboards culmulate in urban interventions and most recently „game fashion“. http://www.gamefashion.org
As Ludic principle she collaborates with other artists and theorists, networks them in her recent project, the Ludic Society. Jahrmann’s work can be best described as deviant behaviour between the fields of discourse and creation by the means of complex play systems and ironic artefacts.
Jahrmann has lectured and exhibited widely in various museums, galleries and media-art events in Europe and worldwide, as f.ex. EnterAct, Aaros Kunstmuseum, 2009, Art and Politics of Games, Kunsthalle Wien 2008; Objects of Desire, Laboral Gijon 2008; DIGRA University of Tokyo; Mediaforum Moscow 2007.
